Concept & approach
The project opens with a wordless, metaphor-driven visual sequence in which the suitcase symbolizes unresolved commitments and internal contracts we make with ourselves. This emotional hook is designed to create recognition before explanation.
The narrative then transitions into a talking-head format, where I break down neuroscience and behavioral research related to self-regulation, identity, and motivation — translating academic concepts into simple, human language.

The video starts by confronting a familiar internal narrative — “I’m just lazy” — and gradually dismantles it using insights from neuroscience and behavioral psychology.
Instead of motivation clichés, the story reframes laziness as a mismatch between expectations, energy, and the brain’s prioritization systems.
The narrative is designed to reduce self-blame first, then introduce understanding.

Reframing a culturally loaded concept (“laziness”) through science rather than moral judgment
Translating neuroscience concepts related to motivation, energy, and cognitive load into simple, relatable language
